It’s been a busy couple of weeks here in the Village of the Arts as we get ready for our next set of events, the Olde Fashion Village Christmas and 10th Ave Sunday Market. While working away one day, I got a text message to check out a fellow tape artists, Mark Jenkins. Some of you may remember Slam Man. The guerilla marketing mascot for Art Slam that made his way around downtown businesses.

His first street art project was a series of installations down in Rio De Janeiro back in 2003.

From there he has done pieces around the world. Whether it be a clear giraffe reaching into a tree, tape dogs playing in a junk pile or a creepy figure standing in a field on the side of the road, his work is vision is awesome.

In 2005 he teamed with artist Sandra Fernandez on the Storker Project. They went around the world and “dropped” small tape babies over the landscape. So today I am going to leave you with this awesome gallery of little tape stork babies.

Check out his website here.
